Welcome!

The UMN Passport Office is an official passport acceptance center, approved by the U.S. Department of State. We are open to both the public and the campus community.

Appointments are required.

Can't find a time that works? Same-day appointments may be available. Call 612-625-5186 or email us at [email protected] to check availability. Routine processing is 4 to 6 weeks and expedited processing is 2 to 3 weeks. Mailing times are not included in processing times.

If you are traveling in less than 2 weeks contact the State Department's Minneapolis Passport Agency for an appointment at 1-877-487-2778 or use their online scheduling system. Our office is unable to assist you with emergency or last-minute passports.
